Al Maktoum College in Scotland Holds Intensive Course for Emirati Students

A group of students from the UAE universities (American University of Sharjah, Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology, UAE University, and Dubai Courts) have participated in an intensive training course held by Al Maktoum College in Dundee, Scotland, where the program was under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister Finance.

Mirza Al Sayegh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Maktoum Foundation, and Director of the Office of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, said that the students’ participation in this course is an important addition and a good way of achieving the goals of graduating students that acquire the most important skills and experience, and it is important to mention the role of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum in this area, which can be seen through the establishment of Al Maktoum College in Scotland, with the goal to present the true and pure image of our religion, as well as highlighting the role that Muslims play in the modern world, which shows why the participation of students in this course is important.

Al Sayegh also pointed out that Arab countries are home to various civilizations and cultures, due to the strategic geographic location, and it is normal that we develop leadership skills in multiculturalism in order to achieve peaceful coexistence between different cultures. Al Sayegh then added “I am sure that our students and their parents share our same vision, that this training program is a strong commitment of the Government of Dubai to achieve harmony and peaceful environment in the UAE and GCC countries as a whole.”
