International University of Africa Confirms Commitment to Accept More Students from Al Maktoum Foundation

International University of Africa welcomed the representative of the Al Maktoum Foundation in Somalia Mohammed Ahmad Ismail, as part of the cooperation and coordination between both parties in the field of education in Africa.

The University’s administration expressed its appreciation of the education project carried out by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the efforts made by Al Maktoum Foundation in the African continent as a whole, as well as the generous support provided to the International University of Africa in order to fulfill its mission of educating students of the African countries.

In the meeting, the University’s vice president praised the students who are enrolled in the University, after studying in Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum schools in various African countries. He also pointed out that the University’s administration is committed to accepting more students from Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum schools, especially from Somalia.

On his part, Dr. Ezzedine Saeed, Admission Director, expressed thanks and appreciations to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, and patron of Al Maktoum Foundation for his humanitarian initiatives in the field of education in Africa. He also noted that there are many distinctive students in the University, who have studied in Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum schools, and who are serious and committed to the advanced education means.

During the meeting, the representative of Al Maktoum Foundation in Somalia thanked the administration of the International University of Africa and its teaching staff for their efforts to upgrade the level of the University’s mission, making it one of the best universities in the African continent. He also pointed out that the mission was accomplished through graduating students who have proven to be highly efficient in various scientific and theoretical areas.

On the other hand, Mohammed Abdi Yusuf Hersi, a student from Hargeisa School, Somalia ranked first in the Sudan Secondary School Certificate (Overseas Centers), which are 13 centers in ( Somalia, Chad, Libya, Qatar, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Kenya), where the number of examinees from Hargeisa School was 153 students, with a success rate of 85%.
